TeaTap Cafe

November 09, 2011

Ever since the milk tea craze started, a lot of milk tea cafes have sprouted like mushrooms on every corner.  I remember the time when it was only Serenitea here in San Juan that I always go to whenever I crave for milk teas.  Now, many has been added to the list and one of them is TeaTap Cafe.  Owned by the same group behind Kozui Green Tea in Tomas Morato

Located along P.Guevarra St. in San Juan, this spacious milk tea store evokes a cozy and modern ambiance with nice interior.  It can be intimidating at a glance, but the cute decors accentuate a welcoming feel to the place.  As compare to others, Tea Tap place is probably one of those I can spend the entire afternoon lounging and enjoying my milk tea.  They also offer free wifi which is definitely a big plus.

My friend Chris and I tried 2 of their best sellers; Formosa Roast Black with Egg Pudding  and Royal Black Milk Tea with Pear sago.  In terms of taste, Tea Tap is the closest one which resembles to that of Serenetea, only theirs are a tad bit milder in flavors, but still rich nonetheless.  Price ranges from 70 to 105 Php. so basically, affordability is one of their strong suit.

Just like the other shops, you can adjust the sweetness level of your drink, choose your sinkers, and the whole she bangs.  Aside from drinks they also offer food.  It was only their soft opening during the time that I visited the place, so I was only able to try their Takoyaki which I find really good.

Needless to say, I will still go back at Tea Tap.  I heard they now offer frozen yogurt, so I may have to try that aside from their other milk teas.  I’ll also go back to try their food,  I have reservation to milk tea places which offer rather bland food options, but I have high hopes on Tea Tap, so let’s see.

  1. TeaTap's my favorite! ;p I always have a hard time choosing what drink to order cos a lot are good! was able to try the yogurt and it was good too, not on the tart side though. but I feel it's really good quality because even after 30 minutes, it wasn't completely melted. :)
