Pan Pacific Manila's Dare to Flair: A Night of Flairtending Competition

Pan Pacific Manila, in cooperation with Asia Brewery and BoracayMag presented its first ever Dare to Flair event last March 24, 2012.  Held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the hotel, the flair tending competition showcases aspiring bartenders with their exciting display of flairtending skills.

Students from Colegio de San Lorenzo, Lyceum University of the Philippines, Malayan Colleges Laguna, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines joined the competition and battled it out with excitement and enthusiasm.

Participants were given 15 minutes each to show their knowledge in mixing drinks by preparing a surprise concoction chosen at random and by preparing a concoction of their own.  A showcase of skills in flair tending was also included in the given time frame.

The night ended with Mr. Dominique Cristi of Colegio de San Lorenzo with his unique concoction named the Kiwi Kicker, was declared as the winner.

All throughout the event, guests enjoyed drinks and cocktai food, and in between the competition, live band performance made the night all the more exciting. Pan Pacific’s Dare To Flair was a success and a lot are hoping for more events like this in the future.

  1. Wow, this is very interesting! I actually used to aim for an HRM course back when i was in high school but when I found out that I had to learn bartending at one point, I gave up! (I was a quitter then LOL) Haha! ♥
