Foodie.ph Food Delivery Service: Classic Favorites at Tropical Hut Hamburger Through Foodie.Ph

Saturday, June 29, 2013
If you have been reading my blog, you probably have an idea that aside from blogging about restaurants in Manila and some great food finds, I also love to write about food delivery services. With the kind of erratic work schedule that I have, food delivery services here in Manila always come handy.  Recently, when an ill bout of mean craving for Tropical Hut Hamburger’s goodies hit me, I was introduced to Foodie.ph. It is a new food delivery and take-out service that is all geared up to cater to the needs of foodies.

Foodie.ph carries an impressive number of restaurants, retailers, and specialty stores under its wings.  It operates 24/7 and orders can be placed online while they are on soft launch, and ordering through phone will be possible in the next month. While you can say that there are other services just like that, the great thing that separates this new player in the field to others is its minimum order is only Php 300. Standard delivery charge is 10% and if you order below the minimum, additional Php75 will be charged on top of the delivery fee. Sure, dining out is always pleasurable and cooking is even more so, but when you are battling rage against time due to tons of tasks at hand, food delivery services can be a good option.

Mad For Garlic at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City

Sunday, June 16, 2013
Mad For Garlic located at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig has been in the business for months now. Some of the best food bloggers in Manila have written about their take on it, raves and rants. In my case, I feel the need to revisit because first, everything at Mad For Garlic’s menu is way too impressive for a garlic-lover like me to ignore, and second, I want to know if it was just a bad day when I first tasted their Garlic Sprinkle Gelato.

This addition to the growing number of restaurants at The Fort, BGC was brought in by Global Restaurants Concepts, Inc., the same group that brought IHOP Philippines, California Pizza Kitchen, P.F. Chang’s, Gyu-Kaku, and Morelli’s Gelato here in Manila.

An Italian wine bistro which origin can be traced back in Korea, Mad For Garlic is not just your ordinary Italian restaurant. Garlic-themed Italian dishes with Asian twist can be a tad confusing on the get go, but that is what exactly sets Mad For Garlic apart from the others.

Sidebar at El Pueblo, Ortigas

Friday, June 14, 2013
I would say that aside from food, one of the things that got me raving about when it comes to restaurants are beautiful interiors. I have said that before here at YedyLicious, as a matter of fact, I have few favorites in mind. When I was introduced to Sidebar located at El Pueblo in Ortigas Center recently, I realized that it was a welcome addition to my list of restaurants and bars in Manila with beautiful interiors. The first time I set foot at Sidebar, I know from the get go that I will be coming back.

A part of 1771 Group of Restaurants, Sidebar is literally a bar on the side of well-known Cafe 1771. Often overshadowed by the aforementioned cafe, little did I know that Sidebar is equally worth raving about. And I am not saying that because I fell head over heels with their great interiors, but because aside from its aesthetics, they do serve impressive dishes that complements the cocktails and other alcoholic beverages they offer.

Dencio's Bar and Grill: All-Day Breakfast Meals and All-Time Favorite Filipino Cuisines

I would not say that it is purely a force of habit byproduct that whenever I am asked to name top Filipino Restaurants in Manila, Dencio's would definitely be included. Truth be told, Dencio's Bar and Grill has been one of those restaurants I would go to whenever I am craving for downright delicious Filipino food even before my blogging days. Although tagged as bar and grill as its name suggests, Dencio's for me is definitely more than that.

Serving delectable Filipino cuisine fit for sharing among family and friends, Dencio's I must say is already an institution in itself. I already lost count how many times I have been to Dencio's, but what I am sure of is that those visits hold some of the best memories I have with friends and loved ones. I guess they have been in the business for too long that they have witnessed most of Filipinos' special moments shared over the great food they offer.

Recent visit to Dencio's Bar and Grill located at Eastwood City in Libis proved that despite many competitors, this well-loved Filipino restaurant is still up on its game by introducing new promos while still celebrating the goodness of their tried and tested dishes we all loved.

Goodwill Coffee: Go Healthy with Premium Organic Instant Coffee

Wednesday, June 12, 2013
Have you ever tried ditching an old habit in exchange for something healthier? Say for instance, giving up your favorite brand of coffee and shifting to something relatively the same but infused with healthy ingredients such as moringa and spirulina? I think that's the challenge we all should take with the help of Goodwill Coffee

I will be very honest here. I will be painfully honest that I wouldn’t mind throwing caution to the wind by admitting that as a twenty-something foodie who vowed to try even the most sinful of food while she can still get away with it, I can never be a candidate for the most healthiest person ever to walk on earth. Not to mention the kind of work that I have which entails writing, editing, and post processing photos for clients until the ungodly hours of the morning. Suffice it to say, I lead a risky life and truth be told, there’s a lot of ditching to do.

But let me start with baby steps. No, scratch that. Let US start with baby steps, shall we?

Pagliacci Italian Restaurant at The Podium, Ortigas

Tuesday, June 11, 2013
Pagliacci Italian Restaurant located at The Podium Mall in Ortigas may be named after a clown, but a visit will introduced you to no frills, no joke, just downright authentic Italian dishes. Of the many Italian Restaurants in Manila, Pagliacci is one of those that serve Italian fares that do not just beg but demand to be savored with deep appreciation of a beautiful culture translated into palatable creation. Despite its namesake, Pagliacci Italian Restaurant could only mean serious business.

I could not unearth a valid reason why I have not visited Pagliacci before despite its impressive number of years in business. Yet, I surmise there couldn’t be any apt time to be introduced to the beauty of its dishes than my first dinner there with some friends who share the same affinity for good food. After all, good meal is meant to be savored and enjoy with people who matters.

I wouldn’t go into detail as to how the restaurant ambiance contributed to the dining experience since we were told that it will undergo a renovation (perhaps they are at it right now, I am not sure). There is one thing though that left an impression to me, the façade with all its colorful clown imagery does not reflect the rather cozy and intimate vibe of the interior. In this respect, I sincerely hope that the renovation includes a total makeover of the outdated façade.
