If you have been reading my blog, you probably have an idea that aside from blogging about restaurants in Manila and some great food finds, I also love to write about food delivery services. With the kind of erratic work schedule that I have, food delivery services here in Manila always come handy. Recently, when an ill bout of mean craving for Tropical Hut Hamburger’s goodies hit me, I was introduced to Foodie.ph. It is a new food delivery and take-out service that is all geared up to cater to the needs of foodies.
Foodie.ph carries an impressive number of restaurants, retailers, and specialty stores under its wings. It operates 24/7 and orders can be placed online while they are on soft launch, and ordering through phone will be possible in the next month. While you can say that there are other services just like that, the great thing that separates this new player in the field to others is its minimum order is only Php 300. Standard delivery charge is 10% and if you order below the minimum, additional Php75 will be charged on top of the delivery fee. Sure, dining out is always pleasurable and cooking is even more so, but when you are battling rage against time due to tons of tasks at hand, food delivery services can be a good option.
