Tokyo Tokyo Ramen Dishes + Tokyo Tokyo Giveaway Winner!

December 05, 2013
When famous Japanese fast food restaurant in the Philippines, Tokyo Tokyo launched their Ramen, one of their goal is to provide great tasting ramen that is accessible to everyone by means of affordability. Kudos to the Tokyo Tokyo team because as we all know, ramen places in Manila tends to lean on the pricey side of the spectrum. Now, people can give in to their ramen cravings without burning hole on their pockets.

Currently they are offering 3 ramen variants; Braised Pork Ramen, Tempura Miso Ramen, and Spicy Chicken Ramen. These variants are all available in 2 serving portion; Snack size id prices at Php99 while the regular size is at Php150. Really affordable, if I do say so myself.

All three variants are enticing, hence, Tokyo Tokyo team created an online quiz, the Tokyo Tokyo Ramen Personality Quiz to help everyone in knowing the ramen that suits their personality. I took the quiz and the result indicated that it is the Tokyo Tokyo Braised Pork Ramen that is perfect for my type of personality.

I must say that the keywords are "Braised Pork". I am a hardcore carnivore and anything with well executed braised pork is a sure winner for me. Hence, the result of the quiz is indeed true! But just to be sure, I took a trip to Tokyo Tokyo one day to try not just the Braised Pork Ramen, but all of the variants.

Please note however that I only had the snack size shown on photos. I have to try all three, so the regular size which is big in serving may be too overwhelming for me to handle. I find the Braised Pork Ramen really appealing to the palate. The pork was tender and it has the sweet savory flavor which I like in my braised pork. It goes perfectly well with the noodle and broth as well as the cabbage, scallions, ajitsuke tamago and the nori sheet that came with it.

Tempura loving person may find pleasure in downing a hearty bowl of Tempura Miso Ramen. The tempura is crisp and plump and it goes well with the miso broth.

The Spicy Chicken Ramen on the other hand is top with chicken karaage alongside other toppings. I find the spicy kick pleasant rather than overwhelming considering that I am not a big fan of spicy dishes.

Indeed the personality quiz nailed it when it recommended that it is the Braised Pork Ramen that suits me well. Of all the three, it was the variant I enjoyed more. The other two are also good but I can see myself having the braised pork variant again on my next visit.

Now, on to the winner of the Tokyo Tokyo Ramen Personality Quiz Giveaway.

I was supposed to announce the winner of my Tokyo Tokyo Giveaway last December 3, but picking the winner is not really an easy task because I had to moderate the entries first and validate if they actually follow the context mechanics. For that, I sincerely apologize.

So, without further ado, the winner of the giveaway is...
