Aptly called LUZVIMINDA: Filipino Festival of Flavors, this food fest features diverse cuisines from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Goodwill Coffee: Go Healthy with Premium Organic Instant Coffee

Have you ever tried ditching an old habit in exchange for something healthier? Say for instance, giving up your favorite brand of coffee and shifting to something relatively the same but infused with healthy ingredients such as moringa and spirulina? I think that's the challenge we all should take with the help of Goodwill Coffee

I will be very honest here. I will be painfully honest that I wouldn’t mind throwing caution to the wind by admitting that as a twenty-something foodie who vowed to try even the most sinful of food while she can still get away with it, I can never be a candidate for the most healthiest person ever to walk on earth. Not to mention the kind of work that I have which entails writing, editing, and post processing photos for clients until the ungodly hours of the morning. Suffice it to say, I lead a risky life and truth be told, there’s a lot of ditching to do.

But let me start with baby steps. No, scratch that. Let US start with baby steps, shall we?

Pagliacci Italian Restaurant at The Podium, Ortigas

Pagliacci Italian Restaurant located at The Podium Mall in Ortigas may be named after a clown, but a visit will introduced you to no frills, no joke, just downright authentic Italian dishes. Of the many Italian Restaurants in Manila, Pagliacci is one of those that serve Italian fares that do not just beg but demand to be savored with deep appreciation of a beautiful culture translated into palatable creation. Despite its namesake, Pagliacci Italian Restaurant could only mean serious business.

I could not unearth a valid reason why I have not visited Pagliacci before despite its impressive number of years in business. Yet, I surmise there couldn’t be any apt time to be introduced to the beauty of its dishes than my first dinner there with some friends who share the same affinity for good food. After all, good meal is meant to be savored and enjoy with people who matters.

I wouldn’t go into detail as to how the restaurant ambiance contributed to the dining experience since we were told that it will undergo a renovation (perhaps they are at it right now, I am not sure). There is one thing though that left an impression to me, the façade with all its colorful clown imagery does not reflect the rather cozy and intimate vibe of the interior. In this respect, I sincerely hope that the renovation includes a total makeover of the outdated façade.

Bonfire Restaurant at Greenhills Town Center

It was only during my previous post that I raved about really great ribs and now I found myself salivating over the idea of having yet another bite of ribs, but this time at Bonfire Restaurant located at Greenhills Town Center. Needless to say, I'll be raving about their ribs and then some.

Although well-loved, Baby Back Ribs is not the lead role on Bonfire's menu for it sits with other dishes worthy of glaring praise. Best sellers by the dozen yes, since you cannot expect nothing less from celebrity chef Tristan Encarnacion who holds the head chef post at Bonfire.

In comparison to its sister restaurant Grand Momma's Kitchen at Il Terrazo, Bonfire's pumping borderless comfort food in an atmosphere that suggests an upbeat vibe. Beers and cocktails are served, music played are meant to set you in good mood, and having a downright great time with your companion is encouraged if for some weird reason it wouldn't come naturally, because trust me, it will.
