VJANDEP Pastel is a yema-filled buns that is considered popular “pasalubong” items from Camiguin Island and Cagayan de Oro City.
I had my first taste of this to-die-for buns last 2005 when my friend/co-worker Ida brought some in the office, and it was love at first bite.
Aside from yema, other flavors are cheese, langka, macapuno, mango, pineapple, and ube. Other flavors that are available only through special orders are durian, guava, strawberry, and of course, chocolate. Do not be deceived by how ordinary it may look because, eating these yema-filled buns can be very addicting.
