Cyma Greek Taverna

March 16, 2009

A month after I resigned from my previous job, I visited my friends at Eastwood Libis to have dinner with them. Fortunately, Eastwood Mall was already on it's operation at that time so we got a chance to dine at Cyma Greek Taverna.

Although they have branches around the metro, it was actually my first time to try what their resto is all about. And I could say that it was such a good experience for me.
While some of the food choices are not yet available, the waiters are polite enough to inform us in a manner that we wouldn't be upset. It is understandable that they are not yet serving everything that is on their menu because after all, it is just their soft opening.

It is quite obvious to me that the resto is good because the place is full packed although they have been functioning for couple of weeks.

And as I promised to the waiter who accomodated us named Ron, I will mention him here in my food blog because of his good service.

The ambiance of Cyma in Eastwood Mall is good as the customers would have a beautiful view of Eastwood.

For the food, you will definitely get your money's worth although it is pricey.

HIRINE BRIZOLA - P450.00
3/4 inch thick, tender grilled pork chop that melts in your mouth as you chew, the spices used are not overpowering the taste of the pork, it comes with equally tasty greek potatoes.

CHICKEN SOUVLAKI - P320.00
tender chicken with herb marinade, it comes with two pita bread, and can also be pared with their greek potato.

MOUSSAKA - P250.00
(best moussaka here in the country)layered seasoned groundpork and beef with roasted japanese eggplant, and greek bechamel sauce. Do not be deceived by the simplicity of this one, because it is to-die-for.

STIFADO - P420.00
braised beef short ribs with sweet whole shallots, served with a choice of greek roasted potatoes or steamed rice.

SKOLATINA - P295.00
Greek version of Molten Choclate CakeServed with pistacchio ice cream and hot caramel sauce.YUM!

The serving of food is generous so it can be for sharing. As for the dessert, since we do not have much room in our tummies, we just settled for this one.
The food is so good, I can't help but to bring home some for my mother. I'm a take out queen, what can I do :)

Good food, good service, good ambiance, good experience at Cyma Greek Taverna, Eastwood Mall.
