My trip to Camarines Sur happened when my friend Alex proposed a suggestion to visit our friend Eunice who lives in Naga City. I have always been interested to check out the famed CWC Camarines Watersports Complex so I gave in. Aside from the fact that we needed to see our friend Eunice before she flies to Europe I was also lured into finally trying out the authentic Laing Pizza.
It was our first day in CamSur when we decided to go straight to CWC after checking in to our hotel. It was quite a long travel from Naga City proper to CWC so we took a bus instead of tricycle we initially thought of. Traveling dusty road through a bus devoid of air condition is quite challenging for me but it was fun nonetheless.
That time, CWC recently held the Lago Del Ray Summer Aquafest which was made obvious by the decorations peppered around the place.

The Laing Pizza was everything I hoped it to be. Thin crust peppered with Laing on top. I initially thought that the Laing taste will be overwhelming since it is obviously served on a generous proportion. But the creaminess of the cheese off set the strong flavor.
We also tried other food at CWC like their pasta carbonara (not pictures) and triple decker sandwich. While both were good enough, nothing comes close to the pizza in terms of being impressive.
We were told that locals enjoy their Laing Pizza not just with hot sauce, some of them preferred catsup. I am not big on catsup but I still enjoyed my pizza even without it.
