Cha Dao Tea Place

October 20, 2011
Milk Tea is probably one of the drinks that will never go out of fashion, just like coffee. That is why it isn’t surprising that a lot of milk tea shop is sprouting offering variants flavors and new takes on teas. Just like most of you, I am one of those who got bitten by this craze and luckily, some of the milk tea shops I have tried never fail to satisfy me. One of them is Cha Dao Tea Place.

I was given a chance to try Cha Dao’s offering so I invited my friend Chris, to join me as I visit their branch in Kapitolyo Pasig City. It was raining hard the time we paid a visit but I noticed that plenty of customers still come and go although soaking wet just to grab their favorite milk tea flavor at Cha Dao.

Their extensive menu can be a nit overwhelming especially if you’re not familiar with tea variants, but it’s a good thing that the best sellers are indicated on a separate list. You can also ask their food attendants of their opinions upon ordering because everyone is accommodating and very knowledgeable about their product.

Since it was our first time to try Cha Dao milk teas, we opt for some of their best sellers. We had Assam Milk Tea with Pearls Sinker, Kopiko Milk Tea with Coffee Jelly Sinker, and Cha Yen Milk Tea with Egg Pudding Sinker. For the Classsic Blend, we had their Chocolate drink with Pearls Sinker.

Kopiko Milk Tea, Chocolate Classic Blend, Cha Yen Milk Tea, and Assam Milk Tea

Assam Milk Tea is a combination of black tea, sugar, and milk. Its taste reminds me of the Assam milk tea at Serenitea, only Cha Dao’s is milder. Kopiko Milk Tea hints a touch of coffee on a milk tea. Cha Yen Milk Tea is a combination of red tea, vanilla, cinnamon, and milk. I think it’s the milder, creamier, and sweeter version of Kopiko Milk Tea. Their Chocolate Classic Blend is basically chocolate drink, a good option if you’re not into milk tea.

It’s not as if four drinks were not enough, we also tried their Peach Mango Yakult Blend because I want some popping bobba, and it goes perfectly well with it.

Aside from their line of drinks, snacks are also available. I saw some Honey Camote Chips at the counter but it’s their delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies which I get to try.

While milk tea shops are sprouting like a mushroom everywhere, when it comes to affordability, Cha Dao is on top of the game. Prices ranges from 45 to 75 Php only while sinkers are only 10 Php. Good thing is that despite it’s low price compared to its competitors, Cha Dao maintains the quality of their milk teas and other drinks which we, milk tea lovers look for.

Their branch in Kapitolyo Pasig City exudes a clean and refreshing ambiance but what really endears me to the place were the friendly and accomodating food attendants. My friend Chris was happy with the drinks and the free WiFi made him all the more happy, I supposed.

If you're into milk teas and has high regard to affordability and quality, Cha Dao Tea Place will be worth your visit.
