California Pizza Kitchen Opens at The Lucky Chinatown Mall

October 29, 2012
Recently, our friends from California Pizza Kitchen shared a good news about it's newly opened branch at The Lucky Chinatown Mall which marks as its eight location here in the Philippines.  In line with that, they also introduced new offerings which that are now included on their menu.

I have not personally checked the new branch yet and haven't tasted this new offerings but this news is too good not to share with you my dear readers, so here are some words from California Pizza Kitchen Philippines.

The California approach to cooking and dining is now in Chinatown.  Fresh ingredients mixed into interesting flavours, innovative pizzas, a casual and welcoming environment with high quality service.  California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) opens its eighth location in the Philippines at Lucky Chinatown Mall, Binondo.  The popular American restaurant introduces a new dessert menu to commemorate the opening of its Binondo location.

Binondo has been hailed as the world’s oldest Chinatown and among the world’s best, according to CNN.  “It was a natural choice for us to open here as part of our 15th year expansion,” says Archie Rodriguez, president and CEO of Global Restaurant Concepts, Inc., which first brought CPK to the country.  “We’re providing Chinatown residents and visitors something that is expected of such a historic location:  the best choices in California-inspired cuisine, exciting and flavourful pizzas and American-quality service.  We’re offering diners more options.  The rollout of our new menu items has been very well received.”

Since its celebration of the country’s first National Pizza Day last August 15, CPK has brought out new additions like the Prosciutto Pizza, Vegetarian Pizza, Asian Chicken or Steak Wrap, Fried Mozarella, Seafood Pomodoro and Quesadilla.

For its Binondo opening, the restaurant is rolling out a new menu of sweet endings that can be paired with coffee and tea.  New desserts include Chocolate Sin, a dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate ganache kisses-topped sugarless and flourless chocolate cake; and Mango Crunch, a mango mousse with layers of walnuts and light cream and topped with fresh mangoes.  Other new choices are a boon for caramel lovers:  Caramel Banana Tart, made of bananas and coffee and topped with whipped cream, and Caramel Hazelnut Cake, a dark chocolate-glazed cake made of layers of lemon chiffon with caramel mousse and candied hazelnuts.
“Guests can also avail of refillable brewed coffee for just P50 with any order from the new dessert menu.  For Halloween, we’re presenting our Monstrous Week promo throughout all our branches,” adds Mr. Rodriguez.

From October 29 – November 4, any order of family-sized pasta will entitle guests to a free regular pizza from among these flavours:  the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Five Cheese and Fresh Tomato and Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Pizza.  Some of the new must-try pastas are Seafood Pomodoro, Lasagna Milanese and Chicken Piccata, spaghettini with lemon-caper sauce and topped with sliced chicken breast.
CPK is also renowned for its food pairings and their extensive beverage list will be something for guests to look forward to on every visit.  Their beverage menu offers everything from tropical drinks to fruit smoothies, coffee, tea, soda and even cocktails.

CPK is located at the third level of Lucky Chinatown Mall, Reina Regente St., Binondo, Manila.  Visit their other locations for their Monstrous Week celebration in Glorietta 3, Alabang Town Center, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Greenhills Promenade, Trinoma, Power Plant Mall and Greenbelt 5.  Learn about their latest promos on CPK Philippines on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/CPKPhilippines).
