Red Buffalo Wings & Pizza at Greenhills Town Center

November 16, 2012
It was only a month ago when I indulged in one of my favorite places offering Buffalo wings here in the metro.  And recently, I found myself indulging again, but this time it was in Red Buffalo Wings & Pizza located at Greenhills Town Center.  While I am not one of those who consider Buffalo Wings as their comfort food, I have my fair share of mean cravings for the awesome wings.

While there are a lot of restaurants specializing in Buffalo wings, one advantage of Red Buffalo Wings & Pizza is its proximity to where I reside. Greenhills Town Center is slowly becoming a foodie spot and I am glad that Red Buffalo is part of this development.

Red Buffalo's ambiance carries an American flair that matches the menu.  The interior is well lit and impressively spacious.  Wall photos showing snap shots of New York lend the space a Yankee feel to it.  When the place gets pretty jam packed customers can also dine al fresco.

During our visit, we got to try three different flavors of their Buffalo wings.  Parmesan Garlic (Php165 / 5pcs.) was the one which got me really raving. I love how the flavor was equally distributed to every single morsel of the chicken.  There's a pleasant push and pull between the savory and tangy taste that nearly drive me into licking my fingers with reckless abandon.

The Original Buffalo Wings boast of the cayenne pepper based hot sauce where it was tossed.  Since I am not a fan of spicy food, I find this one a tad too overwhelming.  But for those who want their wings spicy, this can be a good option. Despite its innate spice, diners can also opt to have hot sauce served with their wings.  There are three kinds of hot sauce that diners can choose from; hot, x-hot, and suicidal.

Teriyaki Wings was my second favorite because of its smokey flavor that sort of reminds me how barbecue flavored wings taste like.  I love the added texture of the sesame seeds sprinkled on top.

Diners can enjoy these wings over rice or they can opt to have liquor to accompany the dish.  Impressive beer line up is available ranging from local to imported ones.

While I have enjoyed Buffalo wings, it was their Hickory Baby Back Ribs (Php 375) which I find really impressive.  Tender and downright flavorful, I could eat it everyday for one week straight. Yes, it was that good.

I am big on burgers and I find Red Buffalo's Double Cheesy Bacon Burger (Php 235) impressive.  I love how juicy and flavorful the patties were, and I appreciate that they were very generous with the cheese and bacon that went with it.

Chili Cheese Fries (Php 155) is equally impressive.  It's the kind that I wouldn't mind indulging in because every ingredients works together. I've had several chili cheese fries before which I deem forgettable, but this one hit the right spot.

One of the things I appreciate about Red Buffalo is the variety of dishes they offer. Menus isn't limited, hence, there are other items you can enjoy aside from the wings.  One of them is their line of pasta.  I am really picky when it comes to pasta but I find their Chicken Alfredo (Php 195) worthy of its price. It's creamy and loaded with chunks of chicken on top, making the dish really filing. Shrimp Diablo (Php 275) on the other hand can be a good option for people who has penchant for spicy food, although I am not one of them, with loads of shrimp and well executed sauce, I can say that it is well worth the try.

Red Buffalo's Special Pizza (Php 395) is a way to go for those whose craving isn't confined with pasta and wings.  I like how flavorful the entire deal was and the crust isn't bad either.

Vegetarian Pizza (Php 335) on the other hand can be a good option for health buff. While it lacks the spunk that meat can do for a pizza, it still carries the character of what a good pie is.

Three kinds of drinks were served during the dinner; House Blend Iced Tea, Kiwi Lemonade, and Strawberry Lemonade. While I am happy with my Strawberry Lemonade, I'll give their milkshakes a shot next time I visit.

All in all I was impressed with how Red Buffalo deliver.  I am a fan of their Parmesan Garlic Wings as well as their Double Cheesy Bacon Burger and I wouldn't mind going back just to have a taste of these two again. But what I am excited about are the other items on their menu.  With that, I can't wait to go back.
