Kuya Tom's Boneless Cebu Lechon & Spicy Lechon Ribs

September 18, 2015
Kuya Tom’s Boneless Cebu Lechon is a business that spawned from the success of two of the best sellers at Qubiertos Grill and Restaurant; the Boneless Cebu Lechon and the Spicy Lechon Ribs. I already blogged about Qubiertos on my previous post but I believe that Kuya Tom’s merits its own space here because truth be told; they made a fan out of me.

It is said that Kuya Tom’s is a mini version of Qubiertos  - bearing a smaller store space and number of items on the menu. That however did not make it less desirable since all the best selling dishes at Qubiertos, you can also find at Kuya Tom’s.

Within five months of opening, Kuya Tom’s Boneless Cebu Lechon already has five branches located mostly in Quezon City area and one in Balangga Bataan. They recently opened a Qubiertos branch in Kapitolyo Pasig, so I am guessing there will be a Kuya Tom’s stall there as well. They are open for franchising hence; it is expected to see more Kuya Tom’s branches soon.

The first time I tried the two main products of Kuya Tom’s was during my visit at Qubiertos Grill and Restaurant at D. Tuazon.  A small Kuya Tom’s Stall is located right beside the restaurant’s main building.

Boneless Cebu Lechon Belly
I have tried several Cebu lechon in Manila and Kuya Tom’s Boneless Cebu Lechon is one of those which I really liked. Every strand of the meat is really flavorful and the skin stays crisp for a long period of time. I love that it is boneless and the ratio of fat to meat is just perfect.

Cebu lechon is known for its impressive flavor that no dipping sauce is necessary. Such is the case for Kuya Tom’s Boneless Cebu Lechon. Yet, taking into consideration some diners which still prefer to have some dipping sauce, Kuya Tom’s offers three kinds – liver sauce, special vinegar, and soy sauce.  Priced at Php180 for ¼ kg, Php360 for ½ kg, Php540 for ¾ kg, and Php700 for 1 kilo.

Aside from their Boneless Cebu Lechon, Kuya Toms also takes pride in their very own Spicy Lechon Ribs. Rightfully so, since this one I must say really blew me away. From its size, which is really humongous down to its flavor which is a push and pull among savory, sweet, spicy, and smoky – everything is downright impressive.

Best eaten with your bare hands accompanied with either a heaping bowl of steamed rice (unlimited, if I may suggest) or some cold beer. For only Php395, the hefty serving can be shared by 3 to 4 people depending on their appetite.

These two amazing dishes can only be found at Kuya Tom’s Boneless Cebu Lechon and Qubiertos Grill and Restaurant branches. So, if you dig some really good lechon and spicy smoky pork ribs, I suggest you visit them now and give in to that craving.
