Foodie.ph Food Delivery Service: Classic Favorites at Tropical Hut Hamburger Through Foodie.Ph

Saturday, June 29, 2013
If you have been reading my blog, you probably have an idea that aside from blogging about restaurants in Manila and some great food finds, I also love to write about food delivery services. With the kind of erratic work schedule that I have, food delivery services here in Manila always come handy.  Recently, when an ill bout of mean craving for Tropical Hut Hamburger’s goodies hit me, I was introduced to Foodie.ph. It is a new food delivery and take-out service that is all geared up to cater to the needs of foodies.

Foodie.ph carries an impressive number of restaurants, retailers, and specialty stores under its wings.  It operates 24/7 and orders can be placed online while they are on soft launch, and ordering through phone will be possible in the next month. While you can say that there are other services just like that, the great thing that separates this new player in the field to others is its minimum order is only Php 300. Standard delivery charge is 10% and if you order below the minimum, additional Php75 will be charged on top of the delivery fee. Sure, dining out is always pleasurable and cooking is even more so, but when you are battling rage against time due to tons of tasks at hand, food delivery services can be a good option.

Mad For Garlic at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City

Sunday, June 16, 2013
Mad For Garlic located at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig has been in the business for months now. Some of the best food bloggers in Manila have written about their take on it, raves and rants. In my case, I feel the need to revisit because first, everything at Mad For Garlic’s menu is way too impressive for a garlic-lover like me to ignore, and second, I want to know if it was just a bad day when I first tasted their Garlic Sprinkle Gelato.

This addition to the growing number of restaurants at The Fort, BGC was brought in by Global Restaurants Concepts, Inc., the same group that brought IHOP Philippines, California Pizza Kitchen, P.F. Chang’s, Gyu-Kaku, and Morelli’s Gelato here in Manila.

An Italian wine bistro which origin can be traced back in Korea, Mad For Garlic is not just your ordinary Italian restaurant. Garlic-themed Italian dishes with Asian twist can be a tad confusing on the get go, but that is what exactly sets Mad For Garlic apart from the others.

Sidebar at El Pueblo, Ortigas

Friday, June 14, 2013
I would say that aside from food, one of the things that got me raving about when it comes to restaurants are beautiful interiors. I have said that before here at YedyLicious, as a matter of fact, I have few favorites in mind. When I was introduced to Sidebar located at El Pueblo in Ortigas Center recently, I realized that it was a welcome addition to my list of restaurants and bars in Manila with beautiful interiors. The first time I set foot at Sidebar, I know from the get go that I will be coming back.

A part of 1771 Group of Restaurants, Sidebar is literally a bar on the side of well-known Cafe 1771. Often overshadowed by the aforementioned cafe, little did I know that Sidebar is equally worth raving about. And I am not saying that because I fell head over heels with their great interiors, but because aside from its aesthetics, they do serve impressive dishes that complements the cocktails and other alcoholic beverages they offer.
