Sambo Kojin SM Megamall: Eat-All-You-Can Smokeless Grill Buffet

Sambo Kojin at SM Megamall is one of the newest restaurants to join the band of foodie places in the area that offers eat-all-you-can feast. Known as the sister company of the famous buffet restaurant in Manila Dads Ultimate Buffet, Sambo Kojin offers unlimited Japanese Yakiniku and Korean Barbecue alongside other Japanese and Korean Dishes. 

Their newest branch in SM Megamall is said to be their biggest branch yet.

Although it was my first time to visit Sambo Kojin at SM Megamall, the concept isn't really foreign to me as I have experience dining at their EDSA and Eastwood branch. Other Sambo Kojin branches are located at West Avenue and SM Southmall. 

Three Sisters' Restaurant of Pasig: Heirloom Recipes and Tradition

Three Sisters' Restaurant of Pasig known for its delicious pork barbecue and other home cooked Filipino food is one of the oldest restaurants in Manila that stands in Kapitolyo area.  Founded by a matriarch named Lola Rosa, its history can be traced way back 1941 as Three Sisters' Refreshment Parlor – a name derived by a famous brand of talcum powder. While WWII put a halt into its operation for a while, foiled with passion and unyielding optimism, it opened its door once more and carried its current name from then on.

With an arsenal of family recipes handed down from generation to generation, Three Sisters' Restaurant of Pasig is known as one of the institutions in local restaurant scene.

Prior to my recent visit, I honestly have not been to Three Sisters' Restaurant of Pasig despite its proximity to where I reside and my palpable affinity for pork barbecue. But recommendations from friends compel me to take heed to the invite to try the restaurant’s offerings.

Saboten Philippines: The Best Tonkatsu in Manila and The Jumbo Hiroshima Oyster

Saboten Philippines, with branches in Glorietta and Serendra is said to have the Best Tonkatsu in Manila by some food enthusiasts with its "Original Taste of Tonkatsu". A lot of Manila Food Bloggers have written about their blog review of Saboten the moment it opened its door here in our country. Most of them have written glaring praises and I couldn't blame them because truth be told - I am one of the believers.

There are numbers of Japanese restaurants in Manila that specializes in katsu and I have few favorites. Recent visit to Saboten in Glorietta 5 immediately thread its way on top of my list.

If like myself, you are a big fan of natural light when dining in a restaurants at day time, Saboten's branch at Glorietta 5 do not disappoint. The floor-to-ceiling glass wall in front of the restaurant gives way to the beautiful light to come in - making the contemporary interior design of the place illuminates.
