Brew-Kus: The Bev-Wich Shop in Makati City

Thursday, May 24, 2012
When I was introduced to Brew-Kus The Bev-Wich Shop located at Valero St. in Makati City it feels as if it was an answered prayer.  I am one of those who are bitten by the milk tea craze and while most milk tea shops rocked my world, my usual complaint is that not most of them offers something on the menu other than drinks.

Brew-Kus aptly tagged as The Bev-Wich Shop offers both beverages and sandwich alongside other dishes worth raving about. I do not usually go to Makati area but restaurants and cafes such as Brew-Kus will always be worth driving Makati for.

My first visit at Brew-Kus was courtesy of the Breakfast Magazine's Breakfast Club and fellow foodies Spanky Enriquez and Mhel of Certified Foodies Blog.  The fact that we were still full because of previous foodie engagement we had at Sugarleaf does not discount the fact that we still did enjoy what we had feasted on at Brew-Kus.

Sugarleaf in Makati Offers Healthy, Organic, and Nourishing Food

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

With numbers of restaurants sprouting here in Manila, it is good to know that restaurants which offers healthy and organic food is at par in providing people with not just what satisfy their palate, but nourish their body as well. One of the best healthy restaurants in Manila I have tried by far, I could say that Sugarleaf is one of them.

Known as one-stop shop for people who patronizes healthy organic products and scrumptious healthy food, Sugarleaf is on top of its game as it continue to provide people with their healthy offerings.

I have been to Sugarleaf's first branch along Wilsons St. in San Juan, and although it is near from where I reside, I must say that their new branch located at Medicard Lifestyle Center in Makati is worth the drive. With delectable dishes which uses organic ingredients still never fail to make me believe that indeed, healthy food can be downright delicious.

Kimono Ken, Enticingly Japanese for Less

Wednesday, May 9, 2012

When it comes to affordable and good quality Japanese food, there are two restaurant which made it to the top of my list, one is Omakase and the other one is Kimono Ken. These two, I consider as one of the best Japanese restaurants in Manila that are budget friendly.

While they are known for serving enticing Japanese food for less, Kimono Ken does not compromise quality, hence, every dining experience do not disappoint.

Just like Omakase, their line of  sushi and sashimi are all rave-worthy, but when it comes to my favorite Chirashidon, I tend to favor Kimono Ken more
because of generosity in servings.

Gloria Maris

Tuesday, May 8, 2012

One of the many reasons why I love living in San Juan City is its proximity to most of the restaurants I love. Take for example Gloria Maris. There's one at Wilson St. and another one near Greenhills Shopping Center. One of the well-loved and most recognized Chinese restaurants by Filipino, Gloria Maris is known for serving home-grown and unique selection of Chinese cuisine.

For someone who has deep affinity for Chinese cuisine, things like this matter, believe me. Especially when your ultimate favorite Chinese restaurant is located in Binondo, which I consider really far, it is comforting to know that there are restaurants like Gloria Maris I could go to whenever intense cravings for Chinese cuisine hit me.

While I am happy with the dimsum they serve at Mr. Choi Kitchen, when it comes to roasting combination and noodles (especially noodles) I would choose Gloria Maris in a heartbeat.

Mr. Choi Kitchen at Robinsons Galleria

Monday, May 7, 2012

Mr. Choi Kitchen located at Robinson's Galleria used to be one of the restaurants I frequent to during the time when I was still working in Ortigas Center.  They serve good dimsum which suited my liking, hence, the frequency of my visits during those days were slightly beyond recommended.

Known as one of the best traditional Chinese restaurant in Manila which serves authentic Chinese cuisine, Mr. Choi Kitchen has been in the list of most favored restaurants by most of the foodies I know.

When moving on to a new job commensurate to parting with some of the restaurants in Ortigas area which I regularly visit, my affair with Mr. Choi's dimsum was put into a halt. Recently, I was able to unite again with my favorite during some random snack meet up with a friend.

The Cake Club by Diamond Hotel at Bonifacio High Street

Thursday, May 3, 2012

Dining at The Cake Club by Diamond Hotel at Bonifacio High Street in BGC Taguig is like getting in touch with one's childhood dream of entering the world of saccharine treats, yet, with a mature and sophisticated flair.  An addition to the posh line of restaurants at Bonifacio Global City The Fort, particularly Bonifacio High Street, The Cake Club by Diamond Hotel is set to offer sublime dishes and delectable desserts meant to satisfy discerning palates.

While signature cuisines and delicacies of Diamond Hotel served at The Cake Club are proved to be noteworthy, it is the line up of their best selling cakes that take the spotlight.  And to complete the ultimate sweet experience they give to their customers, The Cake Club also offers luscious homemade ice cream of different flavors!

Our recent dinner at The Cake Club Bonifacio High Street was a saccharine overdrive which left a big smile on my face even days after.  Having tasted 10 of their best selling cakes and 10 best selling homemade ice creams after a hearty dinner was the best kind of initiation to any club there is.
