3:15 PM Milk Tea Philippines

July 12, 2013
3:15 PM Milk Tea is a Taiwanese brand that recently landed in the Philippines' shore to revolutionize the way we enjoy our milk tea.

Revolutionize. Big word, I know.

But seriously, milk tea that comes from natural tea bags? Pretty neat if I do say so myself. It means that even if an ill bouts of milk tea cravings knock on the door even at ungodly hours of the night, just as long as you have 3:15PM Milk Tea in tow, cravings are bound to be satisfied.

Milk tea any time, any where. How apt. I love them from the get go.

When milk tea craze took Manila by storm in the recent years, I have to admit that I was one of those who went crazy over it. Up to now, I still am crazy over milk tea. But adult life means that I do not have all the time in the world to visit milk tea shops every time there's a mean craving for milk tea. And mean craving wouldn't be called mean if it wouldn't bother you to your wit's end during the time when whatever food you are craving for is hard to come by. Mean, yes.

Good thing that 3:15 PM Milk Tea is now in the Philippines. So, dare I say that it is the answer to the pressing issue about adult life's lack of free time to visit milk tea shops and mean milk tea cravings during unreasonable time. See how milk tea is a serious business for me?Fellow milk tea lovers, do you catch my drift? Okay.

Now, another thing that I love about 3:15 PM Milk Tea is the fact that it is made out of natural tea leaves, hence the use of tea bags. I believe it is the first milk tea available in the market that comes out from a tea bag. There are four flavors currently available; Original, Roasted, Rose Fruity, and Earl Grey Milk Tea. A box containing six individually wrapped milk tea is priced at Php120, while each individual pack is priced at Php20 only.Affordable, right? I am not sure if they are adding different flavors soon, but I am crossing my fingers for a matcha variant.

3:15 PM Milk Tea can be enjoyed hot or cold just like your usual milk tea sans the add-ons such as pearl, pudding, popping bobba, the whole she bangs. No  one's stopping you to add something extra if you have stash in your pantry anyway, it's your call. But regardless the non-existent add-ons, trust that it is good on its own.

Preparing your cup -- or glass of milk tea for that matter, is as easy as a pie. If you want it hot, then add hot water in a 7 oz. cup and let it steep for 3 minutes for milky and sweet taste, or if you prefer stronger tea flavor, you can leave it for 5 minutes. If you want it cold, pour half of your 7 ox. cup with boiling water, let it steep for 3-5 minute then add ice cubes. Leaving the tea bags in your cup longer will make your milk tea less sweeter. Also, remember to press the tea bags with a teaspoon while steeping so that the flavor would really come out. It is indicated in the packaging that a tea bag can be re-steeped twice or more, but I only used mine once because I find the succeeding use a tad bland for my taste already. Whatever floats your boat, you decide.

Among the four flavors I have tried, my favorite was the Earl Grey milk tea because it does possess the stronger tea accent to it and a downright pleasing aroma. The other three are also good I can't complain.

While a trip to milk tea stores here in Manila is still enticing for me, having your milk tea any time and any where if you are pressed for time is equally swell. I love 3:15 PM Milk Tea Philippines not just for the convenience it brings but for the good quality and taste as well. Now who says you cannot conquer those mean milk tea cravings especially when you are pressed for time, eh?
