TESCO Affordable British Favorites at SM Markets: Top 10 Must-Try TESCO Products #TESCOatSMMarkets @SMMarkets

November 02, 2015
This year, TESCO, a long-established UK brand considered as "Affordable British Favorites" is finally made available here in the Philippines all thanks to SM Markets. This partnership between Tesco and SM provides a great chance for Filipinos to experience British products at an affordable price.

Relatives and friends from the UK send me some food and lifestyle products carried by Tesco but I am thankful that today, I can even buy it myself since they are now available in SM Supermarkets, SM Hypermarkets, and Savemore.

Considered as the largest retailer and purveyor of Britain’s favorite food and lifestyle brand, Tesco carries a whole lot of products to choose from. I have tried several of these items and I cannot count how many have satisfied me. I'll be dishing out more about Tesco products in future blog posts, but for now, let's narrow it down to Top 10.

Top 10 Must-Try TESCO Products
1.) BRITISH TEA

We all know how British love their tea. It used to be a luxury drink enjoyed by British royalties but now, almost everyone can enjoy it anytime they want. I have tried two of the Tesco British Tea variants and I must say that I enjoyed both immensely, it's hard to pick a favorite between the two.

2.) BEANS AND SAUSAGES

Beans is considered as integral part of British food history so it is not surprising that some of their dishes have beans incorporated in it. Pork and beans is just one of British favorites. Tesco carries variety of beans in can and one of them is Tesco Everyday Value's Baked Beans and Pork Sausages.

I love pork and beans, at home, we cook it especially during breakfast because not only it is delicious but very filling as well. For those days when I don't have time to man the kitchen, I am confident that I can rely on Tesco brand for the breakfast fix we need at home.

3.) PETITS POIS GARDEN PEAS

Peas is also one of British favorites as it can be often seen incorporated in casseroles, meat pies, and other dishes. I have tried Tesco's Petits Pois recently and I must say that it was impressive. I always have a hard time searching for decent canned peas in the market but Tesco solved that problem for me.

4.) GRANOLA

Oh granola. How can I even begin to tell you guys how much I love granola. It is one of my food soulmates especially when mixed with some Greek yogurt. Tesco's Granola is one of those which my friends would always send me because they know how much I adore it.

Now, I don't have to bug them anymore for my granola supply because I can buy it myself at SM Markets. You don't know how much this makes me happy.

5.) SUNFLOWER OIL

A healthy alternative to the usual cooking oil, what's not to love?

6.) CAKE MIX

While I value the noble act of baking from scratch, these cake mix from Tesco is a good alternative when dealing with limited time. My sister who is just starting to learn her way in the kitchen immediately became a convert upon trying out Tesco Cake Mix for the first time. And I couldn't blame her because it tastes really good.

7.) BREAKFAST CEREALS

Tesco also boasts of its breakfast cereal products in variety of choices. So far I have tired three; flakes and clusters, apple and cinnamon, and fruits and fiber. These three are all good but my favorite is the flakes and clusters.

The Peanut Munch Cereal Bars on the other hand is equally impressive. A good choice when you're on the go. I'll be posting more of these cereals on my Instagram account to show you how much I adore this brand.

8.) FABRIC CONDITIONERS

At home, we cannot do without fabric conditioner and while there are impressive local brands available in the market, Tesco Fabric Conditioners are welcome addition to our options. The smell is not too overpowering and I love that they have a baby-friendly variant too.

9.) WASH UP LIQUID

Our helpers have been using this dishwashing liquid and according to them, it is one of the best they have tried. Can't debate them about that, they are the experts and I trust them.

10.) REVITALISING SHAMPOO

I am picky when it comes to my shampoo since I am sporting a long hair. I tried this Tesco's Tea Tree and Mint Revitalising Shampoo and I find it really soft to the hair and the smell is so wonderful. I love using it every night because the smell is very calming, I tell you.

I am one of those who are really happy that SM have successfully brought TESCO here in the Philippines because there are some Tesco products that we really use at home and there are some which I am interested to try. I have to admit that I am all for supporting local products but it does not mean that I have completely abandon imported products. And I must say that Tesco products is a great addition to anyone's household.

Currently, Tesco items are available in select SM Markets branches nationwide such as SM Supermarket Makati, Aura, Megamall A and Mega B, North EDSA, Southmall, Pampanga, Cebu, BF Paranaque, Olongapo, Fairview, Baguio and Bacolod, SM Hypermarket Mall of Asia, Pasig, Clark, North Edsa, Fairview, Sucat and Bicutan, and Savemore Market Acacia, Festival mall and A. 1. Hey Lee, thanks for swinging by.

"Too much" of anything is bad for our health, in general. Moderation is always the key, as they say :)
