The Best Smoked Ribs in Manila at Big Daddy Jay's All-American BBQ

According to Pink's song Try, "where there is a flame someone's bound to get burned". No offense to Pink, but on the side of 17th st. in Cubao Quezon City, where Big Daddy Jay's All-American BBQ is located, where there's a flame, or smoke for that matter, something is bound to get served and foodies are bound to get floored.

Judging by the photo you can see below, which looks like a crime scene, (yeah?) Smoked Ribs at Big Daddy Jay's All-American BBQ is meant to be taken seriously. And if seeing one of the funniest guys in the internet world devoid of his usual funny grin does not mean serious business to you, I don't know what is.

Case in point.

But don't get me wrong about the serious business thing. No Hitler will shoot you to death should you get caught having a great time indulging on mouthwatering smoked ribs at Big Daddy Jay's, because trust me, you will have a great time. You and your friends will have a great time. You and your family will have a great time. You and the rest of humanity will have a great time that you would wish you were the big daddy Jay who have come up with the recipe for this mind blowing ribs.

Lobster Buffet at Corniche, Diamond Hotel Manila, Philippines

A lot has been said about the Lobster Buffet of Corniche Restaurant in Diamond Hotel. Some of the best food bloggers in Manila raved about it since its launching, tagging it as one of the best promos that ever happen in hotel restaurants' buffet scene in Manila. Having experienced this generous crustacean feast myself, I share the same enthusiastic and gleeful approval in favor of this buffet treat.

I could have written about this post way back but sad things in life are bound to happen at times, like say, your hard drive giving up on you despite the fact that it contains all the important photos you haven't posted on your blog yet. Things like that. I hope you got my drift. Good thing though that files were recovered and we were advised by our friends from Corniche Diamond Hotel that their promo will run until the end of May. So yeah, there's still time.

Although time is limited, I cannot pass up sharing with you this awesome experience because personally, an eat-all-you-can lobster treat is just too much if kept within yourself, you know what I mean. I sincerely hope that despite them having another awesome festival, which is Cucina Filipina by Chef Bruce Lim, they will still carry on with the Lobster Buffet and maybe, just maybe, consider extending it for another month or so. Let's just cross our fingers for that.

Li Li's Dim Sum Buffet at Hyatt Hotel & Casino Manila

There are countless Chinese restaurants in Manila including those housed in hotels but only few of them offers an eat-all-you-can spread well worth one's hard earned money. So, when presented with a Dim Sum Buffet for a reasonable price just like what Li Li Restaurant at Hyatt Hotel and Casino in Manila is currently offering, any dim sum loving person in their right mind must grab the chance to indulge.

For the price of Php888, you may stuff yourselves silly with the best dim sum offerings you could ever find here in Manila. Note however that this promo does not include drinks but when you avail of this dim sum buffet at Li Li only up until the month of June, you'll get a serving of their to-die-for Guava Iced Tea worth Php300 for FREE, provided that you will mention that you have read this feature post at YedyLicious.Com website. Sweet, yeah? so, let's get rolling.

Weeks ago I got a chance to visit Li Li at Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila to try their Dim Sum Buffet promo. I have tried several dim sum buffets in the past and I would have to say that Li Li is definitely one of those which impressed me to the core.

Kebab Turki Baba Rafi in Makati City

Tucked in the vicinity of Dela Rosa 1 Car Park at Makati City is Kebab Turki Baba Rafi that dishes out honest to goodness impressive kebab fares and then some. This unassuming food nook tagged as the biggest kebab franchise in the world started out in Indonesia way back in 2003 and has further branched out to Malaysia and The Philippines

The fact that it currently holds 1000+ outlets and still counting with the goal of reaching other Asian markets, you would know from the get go that Kebab Turki is ready to compete with some of the best shawarma and kebab places in Manila.

It was only recently that I had a chance to try out a great shawarma place that shook me to the core in a very nice way. Having been introduced to Kebab Turki Baba Rafi upon visiting their branch in Makati City steeled my resolve that there are abundant foodie highlights for this year.

Suzu Kin Japanese Restaurant along EDSA Quezon City, Dishing Out Affordable Japanese Cuisine in Manila

I may be one of those lazy kids out there for checking out just recently an affordable Japanese Restaurant in Manila which has been considered a tradition since 1981. I apologize, because my affinity for Japanese food wasn't really given much thought of until I started getting serious with my chopsticks blog.  Owing to the fact that I have been receiving emails from readers asking for my recommendations on this league, I must say that there couldn't be more apt time to be introduced to Suzu Kin Japanese Restaurant.

While I have few favorite Japanese restaurants which I can easily recommend, most of them calls for a hefty wallet that can stare back at your appetite eye to eye without flinching.  Now, knowing that Japanese gastronomical experience comes with price, the words affordable and Japanese cuisine cannot be usually found in one sentence. Well, at least in my opinion.

Sure there are wallet friendly Japanese fares we can find in every corner there is, but let us be realistic here. We do not want to deal with run-of-the-mill Japanese food, truth be told. We want something that is so good, we wouldn't mind dishing out the proverbial Domo Arigato even with bad accent.
