I got to visit Mad For Pizza at Il Terrazzo one afternoon to try their Create-Your-Own-Pizza and have fun with the Toppings-All-You-Want concept of it. I was not expecting too much prior to the visit because all I really wanted was to check out their pizza offerings. Little did I know, that afternoon at Mad For Pizza, I am in for one of the best dining experiences I have had by far, all things considered.

The ambiance of Mad For Pizza can rival that of big pizza restaurant chains with a big floor area that can accommodate roughly 100 guests including the al fresco dining area. The bar at the left side of the store is still in the process of completion and is said to carry different variants of beers and other beverages that can go well with pizza and other items on the menu.  Well lit and spacious, Mad For Pizza also features an open kitchen where people can watch the creativity of the food attendants and chefs in charge.

The process of placing the order was very fast and orderly.  As much as possible, they do not want their diners to be stressed by lining up just so they can place their order especially that of DIY pizza. So basically, diners will be led to their table and food attendants will then take their orders. For those who will opt for Create Your Own Pizza, they will be asked of their preferred dough and pizza sauce while seated and when it is time to choose their toppings, they will be escorted in front of the open kitchen area where they can choose their preferred toppings and will be asked to be seated again while waiting for their pizza. Mad For Pizza is proud of their well trained staff because although there are times when the store can get jam packed with diners, the food attendants are very efficient and all smiles.

At Mad For Pizza, they even offer suggestions to the diners as to what goes great with what. I told them that their generosity might take toll on their profit; I was told they are fulfilling the promise tagged on their name, Toppings All You Want. Kudos!

Another thing that is noteworthy about Mad For Pizza is the customer service. All the staff which I have come across with was all nice, friendly, and accommodating. Their food attendants were named after the pizza toppings and during my visit, I was assisted by the lovely lady named Parmesan ( Her real name is Charizze).  Parmesan was by far one of the nicest food attendants I have come across with. She has such a winning personality that I instantly felt at ease with her. She must have felt that I was overwhelmed by the choices in front of me that she patiently give her recommendations taking into consideration the aesthetic sense of the food when captured in photography.

My Own Pizza Creations!

Instead of settling for the pre-made pizza, I opted for the Create Your Own Pizza to capture the true essence of their Toppings All You Want concept.  They won’t ask you to name your pizza creation but we are in a democratic country, hence, I named mine.

I have to admit that choosing toppings can be overwhelming especially if you don't have anything in mind prior to placing your order. I was planning to create a Greek style pizza when I spotted the Feta cheese but halfway through the selection process I got excited and ended up having a combination of everything I love, hence, I wasn't able to follow through the supposedly Greek-y theme I originally planned. But no regrets because these two were amazing!

One of the Best Pizza Restaurant in Manila

Aside from Pizza there are other dishes on the menu that are too enticing not to notice. I admit that the two pizza I created were filling enough, but then again how can I say no to other delicious goodness on plates.

Chicken Crispers (Php 198)

The dish may look like a fish and chips dish at a glance but those were big crisp chicken fingers served with fries and corn on the side. I appreciate how tender the chicken fingers were and I adore its savory flavor with hints of spices. The mayo sauce was a good addition but these can be eaten on its own and it's still downright flavorful and satisfying.

House Salad (Php158)

A beautiful and healthy addition to the mix, Mad For Pizza's House Salad is downright simple yet satisfying. I love the addition of hard boiled egg and the chunks of peaches as it lends contrasting flavor to an otherwise usual-tasting salad dish. The dressing leans on the creamy side with touch of herbs.

Spaghetti Bolognese (Php188)

This was the last dish on the table that I touched because I was under the impression that it's just the usual pasta judging by the looks of it. little did I know, it was one of the best pasta dishes I have had by far! It could rival great tasting pasta dishes from famous Italian restaurants around the metro, to be honest.

Amboy "Angus Beef Belly" in Adobo Sauce (Php 218)

My heart skipped a beat when this gorgeous dish was served. Angus Beef Belly is something I do not take lightly because I am a fan. This dish did not disappoint. The addition of adobo sauce made it a winner because it lends a local touch that warms the heart. The beef was so tender it trembled on my fork. The flavor was a mixture of sweet and savory, something I like in my adobo, so needless to say, I would go back at Mad For Garlic not just for the DIY Pizza but for all the other dishes, especially this Angus Beef Belly.

There are also variety of house made beverages at Mad For Pizza that should not be missed. The Salted Caramel Shake (Php98) with its sweetness can be treated as a dessert in itself. The Frozen Iced Tea (Php 88) on the other hand are perfect for those who love icy beverages. These two beverages are served on a really big glass making it best for sharing.

Salted Caramel Shake and Frozen Iced Tea

Flavored iced tea like Strawberry Mango Iced Tea (Php 88) can also be a treat with its fruity and playful flavor. Their Bottomless Iced Tea (108) on the other hand is definitely a bang for your buck since you'll get to have an unlimited serving of this impressive iced tea made in house. Trust me, their iced tea is nothing like the commercialized crap we usually get from other restaurants, this one is so good I cannot count how many times I asked for refill.

I cannot remembers how many time I have raved to friends how good my dininig experience at Mad For Pizza was. It was so good that had it not been for busy schedule, I could have probably written a blog post about it immediately right after my visit because I am that excited to share it with you my dear readers.

The food at Mad For Pizza is impressive for me, considering its reasonable price. I had a great time creating my own pizza not just because of the unlimited choices, but because the people assisting me were genuinely nice and accommodating, something I have not experienced in other DIY pizza restaurant. So, Kudos to Mad For Pizza team!  I sincerely hope that this business will expand soon because people deserve not just good food but good customer experience as well.
