J.CO Donuts and Coffee Philippines recently opened their newest branch located in SM East Ortigas. J.Co Philippines is now on its fifth year here in the country and this new branch is said to be the 44th J.CO store. In line with this, J.CO also recently launched a new addition to their menu, the all-new premium J.CO Affogato Series.
The all-new premium Affogato drinks line up is perfect for the summer season. It is a perfectly delicious way to combat heat by enjoying the best of both worlds - coffee and ice cream.
And J.CO as expected, goes beyond that. J.CO's Affogato Series isn't just confined between the goodness of ice cream and espresso. There is more to it, of course. Something I am enjoying immensely these days while lounging at their newest branch.
I am from the Eastern part of the Metro. Needless to say, when I found out through Rowena of Animetric.net that J.Co will be opening it's store in the area, I feel glad. No need to drive all the way to Eastwood or SM Megamall when J.CO cravings hit me. When I have to have it pronto, J.CO SM East Ortigas is much near to my place. But then of course, I am still praying for a J.CO branch to open somewhere in Antipolo. Meanwhile, I am happy that they already do have one along Ortigas Ext.
This particular J.CO Store is tagged as a lifestyle cafe concept store. Meaning, its urban aesthetics is downright cozy and would make anyone feel at home. The interior design is Instagram-friendly because every corner exudes such vibe. It can be a perfect place for casual dates, lounging with friends, bonding with family, and even a quick business meeting with colleagues.
Just like other J.CO stores, their lifestyle cafe concept in SM East Ortigas offers delicious donuts, coffee, and other grubs known for J.CO. I love J.CO donuts (if that is not obvious enough) and while I am and forever Team Alcapone, I also enjoy other J.CO donuts varieties such as the classic glazzy, tiramisu, and cheesecake among many others.Be it the regular size J.CO Donuts or their ultra cute J.Pops, the variety of donuts at J.CO I deem are all impressive.
The J.Club which is the donut sandwich selections at J.CO is also something worth trying out. I have always loved their J.Club Cheesy Rich but I got to try their J.Club Katsu recently and fell for it as well. Other variants include J.Club Salami, J.Club Sausage, and J.Club White Velvet. The buns they use in these sandwiches are donuts so expect a beautiful combination of sweet and savory flavor in every bite.
Of course not to be missed are the delicious premium coffee selections at J.CO. There are variety of options but my solid choices when I am at J.Co are their Green Tea Latte, Hazelnut Chocolate Frappe, Jcoccino Frappe, and Iced Thai Tea. They also have other options such as Avocado Frappe, Blueberry Yogurt, Caramel Frappe, Choco Forest Frappe, Choco Mint Frappe, and Mocha Espresso Frappe, among many others. If you fancy something healthy, the J.Cool Yogurt can be a good option.
With the addition of the new premium Affogato Series, there will be an additional reason to visit J.CO asap. The Affogato Series include three variants; Iced Cafe Avocado Affogato, Iced Jcoccino Affogato, and Iced Chocolate Affogato.
The Iced Cafe Avocado Affogato is perfect for those who are adventurous when it comes to coffee. Avocado and coffee combination is not really something that one will think might work together. However, at J.CO, these two unlikely partner just jive well. Topped with luscious chocolate ice cream, the distinct flavor of Iced Cafe Avocado Affogato is its own charm.
The Iced Jcoccino Affogato is my personal favorite among the three. Simply because that signature coffee flavor is ever present but made all the more palatable with the addition of milk chocolate ice ream. The Iced Chocolate Affogato on the other hand is perfect for those who loves chocolate. The combination of chocolate milk topped with a heaping scoop of chocolate ice cream is a chocolate lovers' dream.
We are still amidst the summer season so if you are looking into beating the heat in a delicious way, I suggest that you visit any J.Co stores near you and enjoy their Affogato Series. If you are in the East area, you may rejoice as we have J.CO branch near to us now.
