Cupcake-Macaron Food Hybrid: Le Cupcaron by Cafe Macaron at Fairmont Hotel

Cafe Macaron at Fairmont Hotel Makati recently released their contribution to the ever growing number of food hybrids in the form of Le Cupcaron - a combination of cupcake and macaron. Two delightful desserts merged into one awesome recipe, Le Cupcaron is poised to provide an enchanting satisfaction from two great things in one fell swoop.

Cafe Macaron is known to specialize in macaron by dishing out imaginative flavors that make their perfectly executed pastry all the more indulging. So in this food hybrid, one can expect nothing but perfection because after all, they are Cafe Macaron's.

It is said that if a cupcake and a macaron had a baby, cupcaron would be it. Indeed that is true. But Le Cupcaron banks on the fact that it is not just any macaron, it is Cafe Macaron's macaron - the very thing they do best.

Salted Caramel Cupcake by Dishanel

I have already written about Dishanel's cookies and cupcakes before but after having a taste of her Salted Caramel Cupcake, I knew a repeat appearance here on the blog was called for. A box of these babies was delivered to our house one day as a gift because someone in the family was celebrating a birthday.

I was not asked to blog about this. Yet, I don't think I could quiet my conscience knowing that I have found a little gem of a cupcake and did not even bother to share it here at YedyLicious. So I am giving this one a go.

And I am giving several other blog posts a go in due course because past celebrations were made all the more special with Dishanel's creations (think customized cake which is actually the specialty of Dishanel). We will get there, you'll see. In the meantime, this Salted Caramel Cupcake.

Larcy's Cupcakery Cafe at Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons Pasig City

I've been hearing about Larcy's Cupcakes for a while now, more often when talking with friends about their bet for Best Cupcakes in Manila. It was only recently that I had a chance to try it when we visited Larcy's branch at Estancia Mall Capitol Commons which is way accessible for me compared to their flagship store at BF Homes in Paranaque

Right then I understand why this cupcake shop has been receiving love from impressive numbers of cupcake lovers I know.

I admit that I only have limited knowledge about the history of Larcy's. All I know is that it started in Davao, it moved to the Southern part of the Metro, and then eventually branched out in Pasig City. Another thing that I know, I dig their flavor profile considering I am not really big on cupcakes for reason I have mentioned on my previous cupcake post.

Cake Shots PH: Cupcakes Infused with Booze!

Cake Shots PH is a home based food business that specializes in alcohol-laced cupcakes. I cannot count how many cupcake businesses I have come across with here in Manila but I must say that Cake Shots is one of those that piqued my interest from the get go. Not just because  I am appreciative of alcoholic beverages (specifically cocktail drinks) but also because it is such a breath of fresh air to encounter something unique within the boundary of something familiar.

I think I may have mentioned before here on the blog that I am not really big on cupcakes. I guess it has something to do with the fact that we have bunch of people in the family that could bake pretty mean cupcakes that I've already exhausted enough happiness from it to last me a lifetime.

Dishanel's Heavenly Homebaked Cakes and Pastries

First time I have tried a product of Dishanel's Heavenly Homebaked Cakes and Pastries was way back my high school days. Dishanel was not yet a business that time, rather, homebaker Dianne Ronelle Reyes-Bona was just celebrating her love for creating magic in her kitchen. It was a homemade baked rice cake, the first creation of Dianne which I have tried. To say that it was indeed heavenly would be an understatement. I remember ditching the dinuguan that came with it, and savor the goodness of the puto as it is.

Certainly, I was not into food blogging yet at that time. However, right at that moment, aside from the pleasure-induced explicit that may have came out of my mouth (at high school, yes, sorry!) I wished that I could put into words the goodness of that immaculate homemade rice cake with the eloquence of a food writer to give it justice.

Needless to say, Dianne's creations made repeat performances in most of our family gatherings. Her arsenal of baked goodies ranges from that rice cake that made me a believer, to cookies, to cupcakes, and to cakes with impressive art decorations to boot. Fast forward to 2013, Dianne took the leap of faith and transformed her love for baking into a home business.
