I was recently introduced to Chelcie's Homemade Spreads, an artisan all natural, no-preservative spreads perfect not just for breads bur for chips as well as for cooking. It also carries a line of tea infuse fruit jams that boasts of interesting flavors that set it apart from the usual.
While spreads in the market are already aplenty, entrepreneur and legit food enthusiast Eunice Uy believes that her recipes for her artisanal spread and fruit jams are something well worth to be put out there for people to enjoy.
I have met Eunice, which second name is Chelcie hence the name of her new business, during the time when I wrote about her restaurant Solace in Makati. I respect Eunice's take on food's flavor profile so I must say that I am confident with these products from the get-go.
True enough these delicious homemade spreads did not disappoint. I was able to try three different variants from Chelcie's Homemade Spread line namely; Spicy Longganisa, Spinach and Dill, and Homemade Salted Eggs.
The Spicy Longganisa is definitely my favorite among the three. Even I am surprised because I am not really a big fan of the local sausage in general. But the savory flavor coupled with the spicy kick of this spread just make it so delicious I can spread it on almost anything I could muster to eat with spread
The Spinach and Dill is a classic combination which I love to the core. This is perfect with bread but I also tried it with the Classic Lays as suggested by Eunice and it was just amazing. Even my six year old nephew cannot get enough of this spread.
The Homemade Salted Egg on the other hand was equally impressive because I have never tried anything like it before. Sure I love salted egg, but I cannot imagine having it as a spread or a dip for that matter. Aside from it being spread, I could imagine this one as a great addition to recipes that call for salted egg as a batter to some meat.
