With the proliferation of coffee shops everywhere, there are plethora of coffee options that we, coffee lovers have seem endless. But I'll let you in on a little secret. While I have my favorite coffee shops that I frequent to whenever I go out, at the end of the day, I am still all crazy bout brewing my own coffee at home.
For some of us coffee enthusiasts, brewing your own perfect cup of coffee is the dream. So when I was introduced to Figures of Beans coffee recently, I was elated. I have my favorite brands, but it is always a pleasure to meet new ones.
Figures of Beans is an online shop that sells whole beans and ground coffee of different kinds. So if you are also into brewing your own coffee or interested in starting this kind of caffeinated love affair, then this might be for you.
What draws me initially into trying out Figures of Beans is the very reason that propelled the owners, KC and Karen into venturing to this coffee business. I share the same sentiment about wishing that my favorite coffee shops would offer coffee delivery at the comfort of my own home. Then again, I understand that the freshness of the coffee is very important. Hence, home or office delivery is not really advisable.
That's what got me into home brewing my own coffee. And I believe that's also one of the reasons why we have Figures of Beans now.
For those who have not tried it yet, home brewing isn't really hard especially if you have the right tools. There are several guides about coffee brewing you can find online if you are just starting. Figures of Beans even has this guide for basic brewing methods, but the operative word here is guide.
Figures of Beans encourages us to explore the process of brewing method and discover the coffee taste that fits to our liking.
Just like them, I strongly believe that there is not hard and fast rule
in brewing coffee. Every brew is a personal experience - every
experience is a quest to your own perfect cup.
Another thing that I love about Figures of Beans is the fact that they take pride in the fact that their coffee is locally and organically grown in the highlands of Cordillera here in the Philippines. It is no secret that I support good quality local products, Figures of Beans is now definitely one of them.
Currently, there are six coffee variety that Figures of Beans carry, all are tagged with quirky name such as Irony (Sagada Dark Roast), Paradox (Benguet Arabica), Oxymoron (Arabica Robusta), Understatement (Hazelnut), Metaphor (Caramel), and Euphemism (Vanilla).
Three of which I have already tried, namely the Sagada Dark Roast, Benguet Arabica, and Arabica Robusta. I love all the three but I really fell in love with the Sagada Dark Roast with its smooth finish and bold flavor hinting of chocolate with nutty flair. The aroma was pure bliss, I tell you.
I have tried several coffee in the past and I must say that Figures of Beans is one of those which I can highly recommend because it is just really good. I am curious about the flavored ones but for now, I am going to enjoy the rest of my Figures of Beans coffee as I happily brew my perfect cup at the comfort of my own home.
