The Grand Kitchen Buffet at The Grand Hyatt Hotel Manila

I was under the impression that we were in for a buffet feast of epic proportion – of massive number in terms of selections.  It was my first time at The Grand Kitchen of the newly opened The Grand Hyatt Hotel Manila and I had my game buffet face on. I expected innumerable food dishes readily prepared on an equally impressive numbers of buffet stations ready to be devoured by hungry diners - the usual basis for a buffet service to be considered as one of the best in Manila dining landscape.

That expectation wasn’t met. But let me tell you, I was light years away from being disappointed.

The Grand Kitchen may not overwhelm you with numbers, but when it comes to food quality, they are nothing short of excellent. Which makes them the current best buffet in Manila in my book.

Papa Kim's Korean Bakery and Coffee Antipolo: A Nice Cafe with a Beautiful View

Truth be told, I wasn't expecting much prior to trying out Papa Kim's Korean Bakery & Coffee along Sumulong Highway in Antipolo other than Korean pastry breads, coffee, and perhaps a chance to practice my Korean speaking skill. I have visited quite a handful of Korean cafes in Manila and dare I say that it's a love and hate relationship. I have few favorites, but there are some which just didn't sit well with me. 

So really, it's just my curiosity which made me decide to give this one a go. Little did I know, I will end up loving this Korean cafe more than I thought I would. 

And if I'm lucky enough to make you visit them and try their food offerings through this blog post, I am guessing you probably would too. There is just so many things to love about Papa Kim's Korean Bakery and Coffee, I tell you. 

Super Bowl Unli Yang Chow 2018 + Super Bowl's Classic Dishes We Love

If you are one of those rice-loving people such as my self, kindly please hear me out here. Super Bowl of China is at it again with their Super Bowl Unli Yang Chow promo. Now on its 7th year, this Unli Yang Chow promo is still set to satisfy its diners cravings for one of Super Bowl's well-loved menu item, the Yang Chow fried rice. 

I could still remember way back 2013 when I covered the Ultimate Yang Chow Chowdown eating contest at Super Bowl to go along with the Unli Yang Chow promo. It was basically a contest wherein the participants are challenged to finished unlimited bowl of Super Bowl Yang Chow fried rice at a limited time.

I was salivating the whole time while watching the winner down several bowls, I have always loved Super Bowl's Yang Chow. Thankfully, Super Bowl still continue to carry on the yearly Unli Yang Chow promo that I am guessing we all love. For this year's Super Bowl's Unli Yang Chow installment, I visited their branch at SM Megamall and feast on bowls after bowls of Yang Chow alongside classic dishes I love at Super Bowl. 

Phat Buddha Chinese Vietnamese Cafe & Restaurant, White Plains Quezon City

Phat Buddha is a Café Restaurant located along White Plains in Quezon City that specializes in Chinese-Vietnamese cuisine. Operated by The Spoonstories Inc., the same people behind the famous Bawai’s and Smokin’ Cues, Phat Buddha is poised to set its place in our local restaurant scene by offering fresh and spirited taste of Vietnam coupled with fascinating flavors of China. 

“Phat” means Buddha in Vietnamese, which makes this restaurant’s name depicts subdued repetition – “Buddha Buddha”.   Although a relatively new player in the field, Phat Buddha already established several solid items on their menu that best represent them which also people likes. 

These includes variety of Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Beef Hotpot, Braised then Grilled Soy Pork Belly, Crispy Salt and Pepper, Sweet and Sour Squid, and Vietnamese Coffee just to name a few. Since it shares the same space with Smokin' Cue, diners may also enjoy ribs and barbecue items that the establishment is known for. 

McDo Fish & Fries is Back This 2018 at McDonald's Philippines

Yes, the news is true indeed. McDo Fish & Fries is back once again, making McDonald's Philippines' menu all the more exciting. I am sure most of us fish-lovers out there went giddy when McDonald's Philippines launched this classic and well-loved British pairings last year. I know I did! It's just too bad that it was for limited time only. 

Now that it's back, it's our chance to once again to enjoy McDo Fish & Fries which is perfect now that we are in the season of lent. 

While I still adore my usual favorites at McDonald's especially the choices on McDonald's Secret Menu, I am looking forward to enjoying McDo Fish & Fries more while this season calls for ditching pork and beef. Now what's good about McDo Fish & Fries, you ask.

Its venture in this side of the metro gives chance to Northern and Eastern dwellers such as myself to finally try Paradise Dynasty's claim to fame - the Legendary Signature 8 International Flavoured Xiao Long Bao alongside other Shanghainese cuisines that this restaurant is well-lauded for.

Paradise Dynasty which hails from Singapore specializes in finest flavors from Northern and Southern China. It is poised to give its diners a gastronomical experience that will take them back to imperial China.

Lung Hin, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila: New & Classic Dishes, Exquisite Abalone, and Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration

Lung Hin, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s Cantonese restaurant gives us more reasons this year to indulge in a gastronomical journey that will transport us to Hong Kong through their new delectable offerings. Through the able hands of well-trained Chinese chefs spearheaded by Chinese Executive Chef, Lai Cheuk Kou, also fondly called as Chef Terry, diners can expect new addition to the flavorful authentic and traditional Cantonese dishes that Lung Hin is known for. 

Having been awarded as one of the most outstanding Chinese restaurants outside of China at the 16th China Hotel Industry Golden Horse Award Gala, Lung Hin continue to prove that it deserve all the good reviews it has been getting since its opening. 

I recently attended a Media preview of the new dishes at Lung Hin and it reminded me once again why in my opinion, I consider Lung Hin as one of the best Chinese restaurants here in Manila - and a personal favorite. 

A Staycation, Meeting Chef Angelo, and The KTG Manila Bloggers' New Year Party 2018 at F1 Hotel Manila

2018 is quite special for me and I am grateful that blogging-wise, it started on a good note. 2018 marks my 10th year in food blogging. YedyLicious is 10 years old! Time flies so fast. The KTG Bloggers annual party I have attended early this month reminded me that I am lucky to have met really wonderful people, and to be part of an awesome family of bloggers in my 10 years of blogging.

So, while it may seem that this blog is gathering dust for couple of months now with occasional posts here and there, God willing, it will pick up from here on. For now, there is a lot to talk about as the title suggests.

We are just hours away from Christmas 2017 and I am guessing most of us are already looking forward to spending it with our loved ones enjoying delicious Christmas food. Speaking of Christmas food, one of my favorites is CDO Holiday Ham Premium Boneless Hind Leg coupled with Danes Cheese Ball of course. 

I have been blogging about the goodness of Holiday Ham for three consecutive years now and I must say that to this day, it is still one of our family's holiday staple food. (2015, 2016)

For the past years, players in rotisserie market and roasted chicken industry here in our country which claims to offer the best litson manok or roasted chicken, come and go, but there are few that manage to stay in the game to this day. I have few favorites and one of them is Reyal Litson Manok known for its tagline, "Mas masarap 'pag may sauce." 

While I am also a fan of the other Filipino roasted chicken brand which claims that their roasted chicken is "Masarap kahit walang sauce," Reyal's roasted chicken with its signature sauce has its own delicious charm I adore. They are sister brand under Bounty Agro Ventures, by the way. 

Reyal Litson Manok is already on its second year and to this day, and in line with this, they have recently made a rebranding to further capture the hearts of many Filipinos.

Easy Pimiento Cheese Spread Recipe

I was browsing through the list of recipes using KitchenAid Artisan Mini Stand Mixer that was handed to us during its launching that I went to early this year in the Philippines when I stumbled upon the recipe for Pimiento Cheese Spread. I thought it was an easy recipe. Easy, fast, and very convenient. Way different from my very own recipe for Southern Style Pimiento Cheese Spread which takes time to make.

The recipe from the list uses KitchenAid Stand Mixer which efficiency cuts the time it usually takes to make Pimiento Cheese Spread in half. So this recipe is perfect during crunch time when you need to get something fast and delicious on the table.

When I had a staycation at Marco Polo Ortigas during my birthday, I took advantage of my free time and finally visit Sibyullee.

Now I am saying this from the get-go; I only have good words for Sibyullee. From the service to the ambiance up to the quality of food they serve - everything was satisfyingly impressive.

I guess that is to be expected. After all, the people behind Sibyullee are the same lot behind the equally impressive Sariwon Korean Barbecue and Soban K-Town Grill which I heard was also noteworthy. It is one of the restaurants highly recommended by some of my fellow Manila food bloggers and friends who shares the same love for good ol' ribs, and I can understand them why.

It is not as if Morganfield's menu wasn't extensive and impressive enough because I tell you, they have everything for everyone. Add to that the fact that the have value meal sets with really affordable prices.

Morganfield's commitment to satisfy their diners with their Sticky Bones and other dishes drives them to continuously develop menu items that everyone will surely loves. Yes, aside from the signature dishes from their mothership in Malaysia, Morganfield's Philippines got some dishes developed with local diners in mind. 

McDonald's McSpicy is Back with the New Garlic Parmesan McSpicy #McSpicy

Today, I woke up with a good news that my favorite McSpicy is finally back and tagging along in its resurgence is the new Garlic Parmesan McSpicy. I don't know about you, but McSpicy, although at times elusive, is on top of the list of my favorite grubs at McDonald's menu. Funny thing is, I find the new Garlic Parmesan McSpicy impressive enough it quickly becomes a tough competitor on the top spot.

Now there's a catch - McSpicy and Garlic Parmesan McSpicy are available for limited time only. Sad, I know. But all the more reason to make the most out of its limited time.

Make the most of its limited time, hell yeah I did. Upon receiving boxes upon boxes of McSpicy and Garlic Parmesan McSpicy via McDelivery, I quickly finished two - one of each variant - in one go. Cleared two boxes and hid under the pretense that I am doing it for the blog. Truth is, I miss McSpicy - big time.

A Stay at Makati Diamond Residences

I have been to decent number of hotel staycations with my KTG Manila bloggers family and the recent one which I deem really enjoyable and memorable was our stay at Makati Diamond Residences. A luxurious serviced apartment in the heart of Makati Central Bssiness District, Makati Diamond Residences is part of San Miguel Properties Inc.

Now I say that when asked for recommendation on good place to stay in Makati area, I would certainly highly recommend Makati Diamond Residences. Heaven knows how I love that place. 

Everything was just perfect during our stay. The place, the company, and of course the food - those glorious food! I wish I have blogged about this soon, but corrupted memory card means months of waiting before you could retrieved lost files. So now, here I am.

There are a lot of restaurants and food parks in Marikina City but if you are craving for good Italian food, there is Grissini Ristorante along Mayor Gil Fernando Avenue that you might want to consider. Grissini offers delicious Italian cuisines with price tags that are not meant to burn a hole in one's pocket.

Breads are freshly made and baked everyday. So are the pizza dough which are hand-rolled on the spot once an order has been made. Fresh pasta noodles have spot on their menu alongside other Italian dishes. Garnishes, herbs, and some spices came fresh from their garden.

From where I am there aren't many Italian Restaurants. So, a trip to nearby Marikina City is always a good idea when hankering for Italian food made with care.

Eat-all-you-can Korean BBQ Restaurant Buffets in Manila are plenty but Korean food-loving Filipinos still can't get enough of it. Hence, the opening of Gen Korean BBQ House Manila located at the Seaside SM by the Bay is a welcome addition to the endless list of the best Korean restaurants we love. Who doesn't like feasting on unlimited Korean BBQ anyway?

Gen Korean BBQ House hails from California. It is so famous in the area that there is always long line of diners waiting for their turn to enjoy premium eat-all-you-can meats and seafood. Gen Korean BBQ House Manila is their first branch outside the US.

My Top Picks at The Ultimate Taste Test PRO Edition 2017

I am going to say this right off the bat, Ultimate Taste Test Pro Edition 2017 is by far my favorite among Ultimate Taste Tests which I have attended since 2011. While previous Our Awesome Planet’s UTTs were special and undeniably enjoyable, the UTT Pro Edition this year shoot up to several notches higher in terms of serving people the best of the best food that merchants can offer.

Anton himself mentioned that the vendors this year were carefully picked through the Ultimate Taste Test Audition hence, the lineup comprised of the best ones they have chosen. It was after all Pro Edition. 

Ultimate Taste Test Pro Edition 2017 happened last September 2-3, 2017 at Glorietta Activity Center. The two-day food festival gave chance to the vendors to showcase their products to the foodies who stood as food critics for the day, and to sell their products to the public. The event was concluded last Sunday and winners were announced.

Weekend is upon us and you know what I love most about weekends? It’s staying all day at home doing whatever that tickles my fancy. For instance, basking in the glory of finishing three thick books in a row, catching up on my favorite American TV series, gulping a 16-episode Asian drama in one go, or cleaning my room by throwing accumulated shits in the hope to successfully lead a minimalist lifestyle.

Funny thing is, most of the people who gets to know me cannot believe that I am homebody to the core. It puzzles people that being single and relatively young - as I have been told, I rarely go out. It puzzles them that the idea of staying at home after work week excites the hell out of me. 

Also, since I am a blogger with freelance job as a stylist and moonlights as a photographer, people have this preconceived notion that there is never a weekend when I am not out to look for adventure and new things to try.
